Since joining the EDM community in 2012, I have been to several different music festivals which include: Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, Sunset Music Festival, TomorrowWorld, and Independence Music Festival.

The last element left now is my tail. To reach the far corners of imagination is always a great way to get the creative juices flowing. Now all that is left to create is my tail and the octopus that will be going between my wig and viking helmet. Kandi will also obviously be part of the costume as well as a bright pink tutu, a viking helmet and a tail. The process took me about 30 minutes, and was easier than originally thought. The last detail to add would be the buttons and those I hand sewed on, one by one. She is getting somewhat of an update on her EL wire and adapter for EDC Orlando 2016, other than that it is remaining the same. Now apart from the costume itself, one of my coworkers will be doing my make up and we are both excited to reveal that on day two of EDC Orlando.

The thought and love that went into the making of the kandi and my outfit bring me joy. Designing the costume I wear each year is my absolute favorite thing, the possibilities are endless. The DJ I saw was Kaskade and I fell in love with the scene immediately. The circle that connects them all was just cut out in paper and placed on my head with the tentacles pinned to it. EDM has always had a place in my heart and it actually came into my life when I really needed it, you could say it saved my life. The journeys I go on to create the perfect EDC costumes are always fun ones. Partysaurus Rex is, it is a Toy Story short by Pixar where Rex creates somewhat of a rave for the bath time toys. Each year, I always wear my Tardi5mau5 outfit, which always proves to be a favorite among fellow headliners.

It came down to one of two options, Figment or Partysaurus Rex. It is only fitting to do him this year. Saturday during EDC Orlando this year. Now the picture below is the less sexy version I wore to Disney. After serving in the military for eight years and attending Florida International University in Miami, I attended my first EDM concert in 2012. EDC Orlando 2016 inches ever so much closer, decisions on what to wear both days need to be taken into account. Basically I took a yard of both orange and pink felt, drew out my pattern for the tentacle, and then went from there. Once I was happy with how it looked, I cut it out of the felt and sewed it all together.

After hanging out for a bit and creating the pattern, I went back home to finish the last piece of the puzzle. Catering to every little detail is what makes it fun for me. Year in and year out, I always say I will do Figment for EDC Orlando, yet only true Disney fanatics will know who he is. Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the perfect places to let creativity shine through. The corset, leggings, pink tutu, and viking helmet were all found on that site. In two weeks I will be raving it up with old friends, trading kandi, making new memories and meeting awesome new people. As the elements started coming in one by one, and as the costume comes together, I fell in love with this costume even more. Pasquale has been known to welcome costumes of all kinds to EDC, the only true place where I can show off my creative talent.

However, my second outfit is always different. The wigs are all available to purchase in a variety of colors too, and they are definitely great quality. After weighing the two options I decided to go with Partysaurus Rex. This year, I also decided that I will be trading kandi similar to the ones that Rex wears in the short. For the octopus tentacles, this was a trial and error kind of process. My green wig was purchased from Party City, I love their Glamorous Wig collection.

Elements I created from scratch include my tail, the octopus tentacles coming from my helmet and of course my kandi and perler necklaces. Electric Daisy Carnival is a festival where I get to have my creativity fly free. Open your heart and your mind to this beautiful life we live. The lines for the other Ferris wheels moved quickly as well. It was apparent that Insomniac had our best interests in mind when choosing the rides for this event. For example, over 90 different countries were in attendance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami last March. You have nothing to lose and only new friends, new music, and a new understanding of yourself to profit. Over the course of three days, all genres of Electronic Dance Music are blasted from five unique stages.

Also included was VIP parking, a lanyard with the schedule for each day, separate bathrooms, charging stations, air conditioned rooms, and a dining area. It was a beautiful sight. No amount of Ferris wheels are going to make a cranky person happy. There are thousands of reasons I attend the Electric Daisy Carnival each year in Las Vegas. The creativity and imagination that Insomniac Events has been able to bring to life over the past few years in indescribable; truly something you must see for yourself. On top of the fast parking, the lines also moved quicker than last year.

They presented themselves as our friends rather than people we needed to hide from. The Ferris wheel is definitely a staple of EDC. Kinetic Field and enjoy a delicious meal. With all of these options, no lines were ever created. The layout was done in such a way that you could move from one stage to another with enough time to enjoy the art, ride a ride, and even have time to stop and trade kandi with a fellow raver. EDM is one of the most massive unifying cultures I have ever experienced. Last, and most importantly, PLUR. There also seemed to be much more direction from event staff aiding the EDC guests in their parking decisions. Artists such as Deadmau5, Diplo, Krewella, Knife Party, and Fatboy Slim came together in an effort to provide the sound track for one of the most life altering events.

VIP Ferris wheel three times and never waited in line. The world needs more dream conquerors and less routine robots. This is the one place I feel completely myself, yet completely connected to every soul around me. Insomniac is definitely perfecting procedures more and more each year. The most shocking of all had to be the dining area. My favorite ride was by far the Ferris wheel simply because I could view the entire Speedway from the top. First off, let me just tell you that I never, ever pay for VIP. In my opinion, music festivals are the only hope we have left at bringing peace to this world.

Electric Daisy Carnival for everyone. This was perfect for my best friends parents that joined us on Saturday! The space; unlike other festivals where getting from stage to stage is like a herd of elephants attempting to funnel into a gerbil cage, EDC was spacious. Each day I walked right into the line, through security, and into the festival; whereas last year I remember being in line for at least 2 hours. So, at some points of the night we would split up, do our own things, and meet back at the Rabbit Hole at the determined time. Ferris wheel lover; Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella proposed to his gorgeous fiance, Holly Madison on the Ferris wheel during the ending firework show. These were people we had only just met a few minutes prior in the crowd of the last set we watched.

EDC was their first rave and they fell in love with the music and the culture. However, the staff patrolling the grounds of the Electric Daisy Carnival were just as happy to be there as we were. It has been proven time after time that music brings people together regardless of their race, religion, etc. Excuse me, THREE Ferris wheels. We want to share it with everyone in the world, including YOU. Las Vegas Strip which is essentially in the middle of the desert. Music festivals are filled with a sense of unity, understanding, and respect.

Speedway is perfect for this type of event. EDC Las Vegas twice, and each year I have returned home with more motivation and determination to conquer my dreams. Many entrances to the Speedway made arriving, parking, and entering quick and not difficult. Each and every time we met up, a few new ravers were added to our rave family. Electric Sky next year. Utah, California, Washington, and Florida. EDC this year; it was a feeling of wholeness. Africa, England, Canada, South Africa, and all parts of the USA.

There are also thousands of reasons why some people never will. But realistically, we just want to see our bracelets being worn by people we see in our everyday lives. There are four founders of Kandi in Public. Kandi culture is all about making new friends, bringing smiles to one another, uplifting and healing each other. Being included in the EDC ticket package? Although their colors may fade and letters erode, each piece holds a permanent place in the hearts of its bearers. What do you love most about kandi culture, and why do you think the tradition is important to the scene overall? Stories like these are what we want to document with Kandi in Public!

So, we set out to create a kandi bracelet that could be worn from the rave to the fancy dinner date. We are currently in the process of finalizing our list and seeing if we meet the requirements to become an official partner of these charities, as each has different rules and guidelines on becoming a partner, so the current list is subject to change. We currently have about two weeks left to raise the remaining 39 percent of our funding goal on Kickstarter to cover the cost of manufacturing quality bracelets and operating our startup business. So, that is our main priority right now. Our Courage Bracelet would go to kidpower, which empowers and protects youth dealing with bullying and abuse. Now, our goal after starting this project is to uplift and connect people with our inspirational bracelets and the meaningful stories behind them. We got along well, and I always saw him at shows, so we kept in contact. We took surveys about bead size, had heated debates over font, went back and forth over a matte or shiny finish a dozen times, and sourced from many factories to find the right quality material.

Kandi in Public has arrived to change all that. At the show, he gave me his Trance Family bracelet and told me that it was passed on to him a few years back by a stranger when he was going through depression and went alone to a trance show to forget his worries. While some may disagree with us, we feel keeping this beautiful thing strictly inside EDM would be selfish. It gives each owner the ability to track the life of every bracelet they receive or pass off to someone else. You knew that they were down with the same scene you were. We wanted to recapture this feeling when we got back home to California. But traditional kandi could clash with a professional outfit or cocktail dress.

We love that it makes an EDM show more than just a concert. Do you plan on selling the charms individually for people who prefer to create their own pieces? Which ones are you planning on collaborate with and why were they chosen? We are trying to create a new genre of kandi that exists in its own space, similar to how trap and trance are different genres of EDM. That would be our dream! So, we went to show after show, and our goal was to have the time of our lives in our 20s. During our first EDC Las Vegas, we fell in love with the energy on the Strip. For example, our Smile Bracelet would go to Operation Smile, which performs free surgeries for children born with cleft lip and other facial deformities.

Ravers took over the streets, and you could just tell by looking at someone that they were going to EDC, too! We are currently focused on starting a movement by creating a bracelet you would not mind wearing to your school or profession, to smash the nasty stereotype that people into EDM are just a bunch of drug addicts. Kandi In Public wants to do more than just help you track bracelets. We are four friends who met through mutual friends and work, and decided to just start partying our asses off before we all got married and had kids. You could immediately have that connection and spark up a conversation. We want to make clear that we are not trying to replace traditional kandi, and fully encourage continuing to make those beautiful pieces of art! It might look like a simple bracelet, but it took us over nine months to have a finished product.

He showed me the ropes and taught me the culture. PLUR to them is just priceless. Many kandi kids take pride in the act of creating their own pieces that contain their own messages, and might think making a profit defeats the whole purpose. What if your barista, classmate or banker wore kandi in public? When did the idea for the project first present itself, and what steps have you taken to get where you are now? He told me he knows his time in the scene is winding down, but that I should carry the torch.

Other reviews said there were religious beads in their mix. Tons of green, purple, and orange. You can find tons of other options with sorted beads. We were very excited about the ones shaped like teddy bears and flowers. There was a very large variety of beads. The beads were packed inside a bag that was shipped in a box, so there was no mess when I opened the box. They were customized the way I had wanted them to be, each were in different colors and with different designs. The makers were very creative and I was extremely happy with their work.

It is perfect for my 3 year old. The bracelets turned out better than I had expected especially since I wanted them for EZOO 2016 and ordered them a few days before the event as I am the worst procrastinator. Additionally, these alphabet cubes have perfectly cut holes that you can use to string holes through the beads to create bracelets and necklaces and prevent snagging on beading materials. It was a fun surprise to see what we got. About half of them are pony beads, but its a variety of pony beads; some of them are plain or sparkly. When they arrived I was blown away at how nicely they came out. Loved Loved Loved, absolutely loved the product.

Update, the company contacted me about my 3 star review, and partially refunded me. They glowed nicely and were a fun addition! This is exactly what I was looking for. Yeah, go ahead laugh all you want. Target to complete your timely purchase. My suggestion is a craft store, with more diverse options. ID Fest and Soundwave. Okay, I think you get the point: Summer festivals are on the way and we need to figure out what to wear. Here are some of the best within a modest price range: Yandy.

But that stuff is so expensive! Walmart, and buy beads from either Michaels or Target. At least it has a ton of colors to choose from. After all, we know those tickets were pricey and so are hotels in Vegas. Make sure you measure it the string out by wrapping it around your own wrist. Anywhere from Michaels or even Walmart will have beads and sequins.

If you plan to make friends and want to have the typical PLUR kandi bracelet exchange moment, you got to get to work. Rubber neon watches are your friend. Again, put you imagination to work with patterns or colors of bracelet, you could even get lettered beads so that each of your kandi to trade spells out something. Beauty and the Beast watch.
